Cosmic Dance of Shiva 9 months course 1/9

Every 2nd Saturday at 5pm UK  (except for Feb 2024 see below) a 2 hour class of theory and practice on the Cosmic Dance of Shiva.

The physical aspect will be broken down from scratch.  A study of the treatises which will help us to understand more deeply the meaning and intention behind the 5 actions will be explored beginning with Srsti, the creative principle.  Texts include, but are not limited to, Ksemaraja’s Shiva Sutra; Abhinavagupta’s Malinivijayottaratantra. Over the months the other aspects of the 5 Actions of Shiva will be examined as well as other yogic principles which come under the teachings of advaita and fall under the banner of Kashmiri Shaivism.

The theoretical aspect will facilitate in upholding the physical discipline through the addition of the mental and emotional aspects so as to differentiate the yogic practice from “movement” alone.

Support is available during the full duration of the 9 month period.
Recordings will be made available throughout the course.

Those who have been studying yoga for approx 5+  years will benefit most from this course.

£180 in full prior to course commencement.

£112.5 x2 (total £225)  the first payment to be paid before course commencement. Second payment due before November 11th.
